‘Let’s party like it’s Christmas time’, or ‘Alpha 3 out’

…which is really a beta, I’d say, because if you don’t find any other bugs there are chances this will become final

Get it here

For people using SVN, this is just rev138.

Changelog

fix: when using file_exists on a directory
fix: double quotes in subject field for entries
fix: erroneous 404s
fix: the infamous "session bug"
fix: forgot stripslashes
add: made login session-less

And this even though I’m busy.

“Big smile”, that’s unfair, “big smile”

Today I have updated my blog to SVN rev. 138 and tonight I see that you released Alpha 3, grml…

Aside from that, works really fine and thanks a lot for your great job :D

    hey,

congrats for your work. it’s really useful already, but i’ve just installed it on a free webhost, and i need to click buttons/links twice to get them work. if i click once it just pretends to load, but nothing happens. this doesn’t always occur, just randomly.

the whole stuff shows promise, but some lacking features:
    - ability to manage users
    - ability to edit menu/links
    - ability to put images/links into entries fast

anyway, there’s a -imho- bug, if i put an image between url starting and trailing tags (so that the image itself is the link), flatpress puts a line under the picture and that also behaves as a link. you can check this out here on my test page:

    http://djcheeky.extra.hu/flatpress/

like i said before, it really shows promise, keep up the good work! :)

    thanks for your kind words
    1. will be there in the next releases
    2. see ‘blockparser’

that’s not a bug: single newlines are coverted into line breaks, double newlines become paragraphs: put link and the surrounded image on the same line

    hey,

thanks for your response. i know i’m supposed to chat about this in the forum but…

“thatโ€™s not a bug: single newlines are coverted into line breaks, double newlines become paragraphs: put link and the surrounded image on the same line”

i also thought that, but then on edit i saw that there’s no newline entered:

the line you see comes from the theme you are using; no bug there

okay okay, thanks for the info :)

anyway, do u have any ideas for those long delays i mentioned?

btw, while posting here, firefox offered a couple of times to download comments.php instead of posting my comment, have you also encountered such malfunctioning?

yes, it’s probably akismet the antispam, which sends the post to a remote checking server :/
