I would have released the new functionality bundled with the new version, but I’m still not satisfied with the result, so in the meantime I’m releasing Remote Posting as a (hacky) plugin.
I hope you’ll like it :)
bye

Just a quick question:
Is cutenews import still planned? I’d love to be off of Cutenews for two of my websites, and this looks incredible.

Hi Paul. Actually, if I can recall correctly I did work already on a cutenews importer, only I can’t just remember if I still own the code.
An importer is quite a trivial task, it’s just boring, and I haven’t just much time at the moment.
If you feel challenged, have a look at the WordPress one; basically you’ll have to cycle through the cutenews DB and do calls to entry_save() in a loop.

That’s just it… I’m not much of a PHP programmer. When I saw this program on the WeblogMatrix, it said that it could import cutenews, and I got excited, and then I saw the power that this had, and got even moreso.
I suppose I’ll wait until you’ve got more time to program that back in, or keep looking for something that’ll suit my needs. (I’m trying to move out of cutenews, but keep my news, categories, and comments.)
